Element Films International,the brand new sales outfit run by John Fremes has hit the ground running,scoring deals here on its thriller Five Fingers with DNC in Italy, Gussi Films in Mexico, CaliforniaFilms in Brazil, Lusomundo in Portugal and Hollywood Entertainment in Greece.

The film, which has itsworld premiere today, stars Laurence Fishburne and Ryan Phillippe in aMorocco-set story about a terrorist mastermind (Fishburne) who abducts anidealistic Dutchman (Phillippe) with a questionable past.

Fingers was written and directed by Laurence Malkin. LionsGate Films has North American rights and will release it later this year.

Fremes was appointed tostart up Element Films International earlier this month by Sam Nazarian, whoruns the self-financing and production outfit Element Films. Element alsobacked Un Certain Regard title Down In The Valley which Summit Entertainment is selling here.

Fremes was former President of Le Monde Entertainment, a divisionof Alliance Atlantis, and most recently President of Fusion International SalesCorp.
