EntertainmentFilm Distributors has boarded Summit Entertainment's The Alibi as the UKshows strong signs of buying across all budget ranges.

Entertainment hastaken the UK on the contemporary thriller, which stars Steve Coogan and RebeccaRomijn-Stamos. Having previously bought Summit's Around The World In EightyDays, also starring Coogan, the Greens' powerhouse will be now be drivingthe British TV comedian's bid to become a film star in his home market.

Other UK dealssaw Momentum Pictures making its first joint acquisition with Spanish sistercompany Aurum Producciones, taking Impact Pictures' horror title The Darkfrom Summit.

Meanwhile, in adeal announced at Cannes, Metrodome has made its first pre-buy, taking Swedishfilmmaker Lukas Moodysson's A HoleIn My Heart.

The pre-buy comeshard on the heels of Metrodome's success with Monster and marks thedistributor's third Moodysson title after Together and Lilya 4 Ever.Metrodome has also bought Danish titles In Your Hands and Daybreak,both of which screened at Berlin.
