EuropaCorp. principal Pierre-Ange Le Pogam has been named to the post of president of theCommission of Funds in aid of Multimedia Publishing (FAEM). France'sNational Cinema Center (CNC) announced the news Thursday morning in Paris.

The FAEM is run in support of the creationof innovative multimedia content in such areas as video-game pre-production,editorial Internet content, mobile telephones and interactive television aswell as the quality and international ambitions for CD-Roms and DVD-Roms aimed at a young audience.

Le Pogam wasformerly the head of worldwide distribution and marketing at Gaumont and joined with partner Luc Bessonto create EuropaCorp. in2000. He will have a two-year mandate as president of the FAEM though this willnot affect his role at EuropaCorp.

The FAEM is composed of professionals fromthe video game and mobile telephone sectors as well as financial analysts,professors and institutional representatives.
