BFI head of exhibition and festival director Clare Stewart has announced that the 57th BFI London Film Festival will run Oct 9-20.
The festival is now accepting submissions for 2013, with the full programme to be announced in September.
Last year’s edition screened 227 feature films and 111 short films from 57 countries, including 13 world premieres. 570 filmmaker guests attended the festival, drawing the highest ever audience attendance of 151,000 and a record number of industry delegates.
European premieres of Frankenweenie and Great Expectations bookended the 2012 festival.
