Cinedigm Entertainment CEO Chris McGurk is to be the keynote speaker at this year’s Los Angeles Film Festival, which runs June 14-24.

Panelists at other festival sessions will include cinematographer Wally Pfister, director Lawrence Kasdan and screenwriter John August.

McGurk, who previously held executive positions at MGM, Overture and other studios, will deliver his address on the renaissance of independent film on June 16.

The festival’s June 17 Coffee Talks session will include Kasdan, August, actors Jason Isaacs and Melanie Lynskey and composer Rolfe Kent. Pfister will feature in a June 23 Kodak Focus session.
