Joseph Fiennes has been cast opposite Heather Graham in Chen Kaige's first English language film Killing Me Softly which is set to go into production in London on Oct 30. The film is being produced and financed by Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's Montecito Pictures; MGM has domestic rights with Myriad Pictures handling international sales.

Based on the novel Killing Me Softly: A Tale Of Obssession by Nicci French, the film stars Graham as a young woman who risks everything in her life when she locks eyes with a dark stranger (Fiennes) on the street. Kara Lindstrom has written the screenplay; Joe Medjuck, Lynda Myles, Dan Goldberg and Michael Chinich are the producers with Pollock and Reitman executive producing.

Fiennes will next be seen in Paramount/Mandalay's Enemy At The Gates directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud and co-starring Jude Law, Rachel Weisz and Ed Harris. His credits include most famously Shakespeare In Love and Elizabeth and less famously Forever Mine and Rancid Aluminium.
