UK-based sales outfit The Film Company (TFC) has secured worldwide rights to Spaceman, winner of the audience award for best competition feature at the Austin Film Festival

TFC acquired the film from Palm Pictures, which picked up the title following positive US reviews from its festival run. Directed by Internet humorist Scott Dikkers, the film tells the story of a four-year-old abducted by aliens and raised on a distant planet to be an unstoppable killing machine. He returns to Earth, but has trouble adapting to normal life.

Spaceman joins titles including Third World Cop, produced by Palm chief Chris Blackwell, on TFC's sales slate at the AFM.
