French sales outfit Films Distribution, which is handling the Lucas Belvaux trilogy, one of the hottest properties at the EFM, has added four films to its Berlin-AFM slate.

These are headed by Central Station-writer Marcos Bernstein's directorial debut The Other Side Of The Street. The film, which stars Fernanda Montenegro and Raul Cortez, has been picked up for Latin America by Sony Pictures Classics. The studio offshoot has also has taken an option on US and UK rights, leaving Films Distribution to handle sales in the rest of the world. It is produced by Passaro Films.

Other additions to Films Distribution's slate include Sebastien Lifshitz's Wild Side, Marc Recha's Les Mains Vides and Solveig Anspach's Stormy Weather, which stars Elodie Bouchez and Baltasar Kormakur.

Films Distribution, which is headed by Nicolas Brigaud-Robert and Francois Yon, also clinched a deal on Jean-Claude Brisseau's Choses Secretes with Future Film for Scandinavia.

Belvaux's trilogy, which this week clinched a US deal with Magnolia Films, is now set to get its US premiere in June or July after they appear in the Tribeca Film Festival.
