Seoul-based sales company Finecut has sold Hong Sang-soo’s Cannes competition In Another Country to Spain (Golem Distribucion) and Japan (Bitters End).

The film has also gone to Greece and Cyprus (Strada Films), Brazil (Providence Filmes) and Mexico (Mantarraya Producciones).

It was previously announced that Diaphana has French rights to the film, and will release it in French theatres this October, while Kino Lorber announced separately during Cannes that it has taken US rights to the film.

Isabelle Huppert stars in the film as three different foreign women all named Anne who visit the seaside town of Mohang, Korea and encounter a different set of characters.

Finecut is expecting to close additional deals for other countries including Benelux and Argentina soon.
