Korea’s Finecut has sold Kim Jee-woon’s grisly revenge thriller I Saw The Devil to Japan’s Broadmedia Studios and Splendid Film for German-speaking Europe and Benelux.
Broadmedia will release the film, opened in Korea this summer, in February next year.
Finecut also sealed a German deal on Cannes Critic’s Week title Bedevilled, which went to I-ON New Media, and has sold Iris:The Movie to Kadokawa Pictures for Japan. Iris also went to Hong Kong’s I-cable Entertainment and Clover Films for Singapore.
The Seoul-based sales agent has also picked up Athena: The Movie, a spin-off from Iris starring Jung Woo-sung which director Kim Young-jun and producer Chung Tae-won are currently shooting in Italy, Japan and Hawaii.
