The fourth edition of China’s First Film Festival gets under way on Wednesday (Oct 26-Nov 11) with a programme of more than 80 films and 300 screenings on show in 50 universities across five cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Jinan, and Nanking.
The Festival will present seven sections this year, including tributes to Jeanne Moreau, Joris Ivens, Edward Yang and the Hong Kong New Wave.

Guests include Europa Cinemas director Claude-Eric Poiroux, actress Julie Gayet and director Tsangari.
