Dutch-Asian sales agent Fortissimo Film Sales enjoyed a strong AFM ahead of what is expected to be a busy Cannes.

During the AFM it sold Thai Cannes hopeful Tears Of The Black Tiger by Wisit Sasanatieng to Bim Distribuzione (Italy), Alta Films (Spain), NFM (Netherlands), Edko (Hong Kong), Cathay (Singapore) and Nikkatsu (Japan).

Nonzee Nimibutr's tale of sex guilt and retribution, Jan Dara was sold to Prooptiki (Greece), Blanco & Travieso (Venezuela) and Cathay (Singapore) and Fortissimo chief Wouter Barendrecht reports outstanding offers from many territories including France and Japan.

Among other new additions to its slate The Chateau was sold to Academy (Italy), Pretty Pictures (France) and Cinemien (Benelux). Hush sold to Prooptiki (Greece) and Cinemien (Benelux)

Fortissimo continued to close remaining territories on its Thai hit The Iron Ladies including a sale to Strand releasing for the US. Other sales included Sharada (Italy), Teleseis (Spain), RTV (Slovenia), Centauro (Colombia) and Providence (Brazil). Another Thai catalogue picture Bangkok Dangerous was sold to RTV (Slovenia) and Sagittaire (France).

All The Way sold to Creative Air (Hong Kong), Prooptiki (Greece) with offers for Japan and others on the table. Eisenstein was sold to Twin (Japan), Showtime (Australia)and RTV (Slovenia).
