Fortissimo Films has sealed a slew of deals on food industry documentary Food, Inc following its screening at the Berlinale and during Filmart, including a sale to A-Films for Benelux and Cafe Groove for Japan.
The film, which world premiered at Toronto before it screened in Berlin, has also gone to United King for Israel, Golden Village for Singapore and Deltamac for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Todd Solondz’s Forgiveness has been sold to Maywin for Russia and Shani Films for Israel. Maywin also snapped up Tsai Ming-liang’s Face, which also went to Colombus for Switzerland.
Mishima: A Life In Four Chapters, directed by Paul Schrader, has also been a hot seller for Fortissimo which has sealed deals with Non-Stop for Scandinavia andSherlock for Spain. The film was previously sold to Wild Side Films for France.
Meanwhile, Germany’s ARD Degeto has bought Majid Majidi’s Song Of Sparrows and Benjamin Gilmour’s Son Of A Lion. Song Of Sparrows also went to Cineplex for Taiwan.
