Pinewood Studios is hosting a week of free film screenings tocelebrate its 70th birthday.

The celebratory screenings are to be held in conjunction withThe Times and Vue West End, London, andwill feature one film from each of the seven decades that Pinewood has beenworking in UK film.

The screenings run from Oct 1-7 and feature Pygmalion, The Red Shoes, Genevieve,Carry On Up TheKhyber, The Spy Who Loved Me, Batman and Interview With A Vampire.

Since its launch in 1936, Pinewood has seen the production ofover 700 films, including the Carry On, James Bond and Pink Panther series. ThePinewood Studios Group now also includes Shepperton and Teddington Studiosand boasts 35 soundstages, nine television studios and 16 post-productiontheatres.
