Geoffrey Ammer has left his position as co-president of marketing for Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group to join Joe Roth's Revolution Studios. He is replaced at Buena Vista by Oren Aviv, formerly his co-president at Disney, who now assumes sole responsibility for creative materials, publicity, promotions, research, media and internet development and marketing at the studio.

Ammer will collaborate on all aspects of marketing and distribution worldwide for Revolution Studios film releases, reporting to Tom Sherak who recently moved to Revolution from his post as domestic distribution chief at 20th Century Fox. He will also be involved in the on-line marketing efforts for Revolution.

Ammer will work closely with Sony Pictures Entertainment which has domestic and numerous international rights on the Revolution films.
