Menahem Golan is back - again - with a new company FilmWorld and his years-in-the-making version of Crime And Punishment almost ready for unveiling. Teaming with Eugeny Afineevsky, his executive vice president and head of business affairs, and Eddie Avalos, vice president and head of international sales, Golan has two projects planned with Sean Young as well as a reworking of classic thriller M, this time set in Los Angeles and starring Eric Roberts and Rutger Hauer.

Golan, who has been attached to various incarnations since the demise of 21st Century Film Corp, his first post-Cannon company, directed Crime And Punishment, a modern day version of the Dostoevsky novel starring Crispin Glover, Vanessa Redgrave, John Hurt and Margot Kidder. It was shot in 1993 but has never been seen since then. Film World's press release declared that it was "almost ready".

According to the release, Young will star with Michael Dudikoff in Death Game, a new thriller styled after Death Wish, and The Wooden Dish, a drama opposite Martin Landau.
