Chris Coen's new UK distribution company Halcyon Pictures has taken UK rights to Julie Delpy's The Countess sold by Celluloid Dreams.

The film stars Delpy, William Hurt, Daniel Bruhl and Anamaria Marinca in the story of Countess Bathroy.

Halcyon have also bought David Auburn's The Girl In The Park, starring Sigourney Weaver, Kate Bosworth and Allesandro Nivola, from QED.

Halcyon's forthcoming slate also includes The Visitor, Ano Una and The Lemon Tree.

The company has appointed Camille Gatin as its new head of development, she comes from Intermedia UK.
