Warner Bros' animatedfeature film Happy Feet has kicked JamesBond from the top spot in the UK box office this weekend, taking $5.43m (£2.76m).

The penguins barely knockedSony's Casino Royale from itsthree-week tenure at number one by raking-in a site average of $12,206 (£6,217)from 445 sites across the UK.

The animated family film,which features the voices of Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Hugh Jackman, NicoleKidman and Robin Williams, has so far grossed $180m worldwide.

Casino Royale came in a close second, earning $5.41m (£2.74m) in its fourth week on495 sites, with a site average of $10,881 (£5,538), still beating UIP's festivenew release The Holiday, which took$4.61m (£2.34m) at 428 sites in its UK opening weekend.

Another animated project,Aardman/DreamWorks' Flushed Away, alsofared well, coming in fourth with a weekend total of $2.4m (£1.2m) while The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clauseearned $1.4m (£734,041) in the three-day weekend.
