Writer Peter Harness and hispitch The Bone Family has won the"Director's Cut" competition for the UK Film CouncilDevelopment Fund's 25 Words Or Less scheme. "For a pitch of 25 words orless, producers are looking for something that grabs them; ideas have to besimple but also fresh and exciting," said Natalie Wreyford,senior development executive for the UK Film Council's Development Fund. To create high concept ideas for films that can succeed in acompetitive market, you have to know your story, and have an awareness of bothindustry tastes and your potential audience. 25 Words or Less helps to fasttrack writers with this ambition, whilst staying focused on the ever-changingneeds of the industry."
