Harry Potter & TheSorcerer's Stone officiallybypassed Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace over the weekend to become the number two movie ofall time after Titanic. TheWarner Bros movie, known in many territories as Harry Potter & ThePhilosopher's Stone, has nowgrossed a worldwide total of $926.1, eclipsing the $922.8m scored by theLucasfilm prequel in 1999.

Harry Potter, whose first sequel The Chamber Of Secrets is all set for release at Thanksgiving this year inNorth America, followed a similar pattern to Titanic by far outgrossing its domestic cumulative total of$314m overseas where its total is now $612m.

Highest among its foreignterritories was Japan with $152.8m followed by the UK with $91.6m, Germany with$66.4m, France with $44.9m, Italy with $25.8m and Spain with $24.1m.
