This year's Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) will feature a special sidebar programme celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong production house Film Workshop, founded by filmmaker Tsui Hark and veteran producer Nansun Shi.

Entitled 'A Tribute to Romantic Visions: 25th Anniversary of Film Workshop', the sidebar will screen 12 films including Tsui's Peking Opera Blues and A Chinese Ghost Story and John Woo's 1986 A Better Tomorrow.

The tribute will also feature a large-scale exhibition of Film Workshop's history and memorabilia as well as a special edition catalogue.

The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society has also announced that it will present an 'Outstanding Achievementin Asian Cinema Award' to Film Workshop at the third Asian Film Awards ceremony. The award will be presented by Taiwanese star Brigitte Lin.

The 33rd HKIFF will be held March 22 - April 13th, while the Asian Film Awards will be held on March 23.
