The Incredibles has beaten both of this year's Chinese New Yearproductions to the top of the Hong Kong box office, grossing US$1.56m from 57screens in its opening week.
The film's opening tallytook in the first day of the Chinese New Year holiday period - Wednesday Feb 9- but as the following two days were also public holidays, the Pixar animationshould score a bumper haul in its second week.
China Star's holidayoffering Himalaya Singh, which stars Ronald Cheng as a yoga master, camein second with US$904,098 from 41 screens.
Media Asia's SeoulRaiders, a sequel to a previous Chinese New Year hit Tokyo Raiders, openedtwo days later and took third position with US$464,952 from 34 screens afterfive days on release.
Warner Bros' Constantineand UIP's Meet The Fockers were released one day before the holiday onFeb 8 and took fourth and fifth positions after two days on release.
