Hong Kong’s contents market Filmart has signed up nearly 700 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors for this year’s edition (March 18-21), an increase of around 8% on last year’s event.

New exhibitors include British Columbia Film + Media from Canada and the Italian Trade Commission. Returning umbrella pavilions include the Independent Film and TV Alliance (IFTA) from the US; Unifrance and Ile de France; UK Film; KOFIC and KOCCA from South Korea; UniJapan, JETRO, Okinawa Film Office and Hokkaido Contents from Japan; and China Film Promotion International.

Filmart’s TV World section has signed up more than 240 exhibitors, an increase of around 20% from last year. The market’s conference programme includes a seminar on adapting books for the big screen.

In addition to projects market HAF, Filmart will also feature the ACE Co-production Lab geared towards projects suitable for co-production between Europe and Asia. HAF will also present the five projects that have been selected as finalists in the HAF/Fox Chinese Film Development Award.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Filmart is held as part of Entertainment Expo Hong Kong, which formally opens March 18 and continues until April 13 with nine events. See the full list of events and dates below:
