Hong Kong’s contents market Filmart has signed up nearly 700 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors for this year’s edition (March 18-21), an increase of around 8% on last year’s event.

Returning umbrella pavilions include the Independent Film and TV Alliance (IFTA) from the US; Unifrance and Ile de France; UK Film; KOFIC and KOCCA from South Korea; UniJapan, JETRO, Okinawa Film Office and Hokkaido Contents from Japan; and China Film Promotion International.

Filmart’s TV World section has signed up more than 240 exhibitors, an increase of around 20% from last year. The market’s conference programme includes a seminar on adapting books for the big screen.

In addition to projects market HAF, Filmart will also feature the ACE Co-production Lab geared towards projects suitable for co-production between Europe and Asia. HAF will also present the five projects that have been selected as finalists in the HAF/Fox Chinese Film Development Award.
