Derek Yee's Lost In Time held onto the top spot at the box office in its second week, grossing US$608,816 from 42 screens. The romantic drama is already being tipped as a contender for next year's Hong Kong Film Awards, although it's more mainstream and commercial than Yee's previous films.
Filmko Entertainment's Star Runner opened in second place grossing US$303,423 from 31 screens. Directed by Daniel Lee (Black Mask, A Fighter's Blues), the film combines action and romance in the tale of a Hong Kong boxer and his relationship with a Korean college lecturer. The cast is headed by Vanness Wu, a member of Taiwanese boy band F4, and Korean actress Kim Hyun-joo.
Richard Curtis comedy Love Actually makes an appearance in the chart on the strength of previews alone - the film officially opened on December 4.
