US specialised distributor Winstar Cinema will tour a retrospective of 11 features and two shorts directed by Eric Rohmer in brand new prints across the country starting next year. "Tales Of Rohmer" will form also form the centrepiece of a more extensive retrospective being planned at New York City's Film Forum from Feb 9 to Mar 15, 2001.
The package will travel to over 30 North American cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC and San Francisco.
Among the films in the series are all six of Rohmer's Moral Tales (Suzanne's Career and The Girl At The Monceau, the first two of the tales which are shorts, My Night At Maud's, Claire's Knee, Chloe In The Afternoon, La Collectionneuse); five of the Comedies & Proverbs (The Green Ray, The Aviator's Wife, A Good Marriage, Full Moon In Paris, Boyfriends And Girlfriends), A Tale Of Summer, which is the third of the Tales of the Four Seasons, and the 1976 historical fable The Marquise d'O.
