Italy's Intramovies has picked up international sales rights to One Hundred Nails, Palm d'Or winning director Ermanno Olmi's last feature to which is being represented in Cannes Tribute section.

Olmi, who has now presented five films at Cannes won the Palme d'Or for The Tree of Wooden Clogs in 1979.

One Hundred Nails stars Israeli actor Raz Degan, and is the story of a university theology professor whose disillusionment with books leads him to nails one hundred biblical manuscripts to the floors and furniture of the university in an expression of madness. He then escapes to an innocent, rural community on Italy's Po River where he comes across as a type of Christ figure to the people he meets there.
