01 Distribution's TheHouse Keys (Le Chiavi di Casa) opened on a wide 239 screens in Italy andearned Euros 726,000 - an all-time record for an Italian film launched at theVenice Film Festival.

Three other Venice titles also opened in Italy last weekend,albeit less impressively: 20th Century Fox's Man On Fire, which screened out-of-competition, opened at numberseven and earned Euros 646,538. Wim Wenders's competition title Land Of Plenty earned just Euros 78,815for Mikado from 47 screens, for an average of Euros 1,677 per screen; and Bim'sFrench-Iranian film Stray Dogs wasreleased on 20 screens but earned just $14,009.
