Thrillers continue to be hot property at the Italian box office - at least until distributors start unleashing their autumn titles over the next couple of weeks to coincide with some of these films' premiere at the Venice Film Festival (Aug 27- Sep 6).

All eyes will now be focused on the Aug 29 opening of Ang Lee's Hulk, which is likely turn into this summer season's only blockbuster.

Italian titles expected to make their mark at the box office in coming weeks are Venice titles Buongiorno, Notte by Marco Bellocchio (01 Distribution) and Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers (Medusa) (pictured).
