The Jim Henson Company, which was recently acquired by German powerhouse EM.TV, has appointed Juliet Blake as senior vice president, creative affairs at Jim Henson Television.

In her new position Blake will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of primetime programming including the development of new comedy and drama series, movies of the week and specials for network and cable.

Blake joins Henson from Pearson Television in Los Angeles where she developed sitcoms for the network and cable markets. Prior to that she was president of the US arm of The English Channel, a production company with a first-look deal at Universal Television.
