Jon Voight has joined the cast of Paramount Pictures' action adventure Tomb Raider currently shooting in the UK and will play Lord Croft, father to Lara Croft played by his real-life daughter Angelina Jolie. It is the first time that Voight and Jolie have appeared together on screen.

The casting was announced by director Simon West and producers Lawrence Gordon, Lloyd Levin and Colin Wilson. Voight joined the cast on Monday this week and will shoot for one week finishing tomorrow.

Tomb Raider is scheduled for a release next summer throughout the world. It is being shot on location in the UK, Iceland and Cambodia and at Prinewood Studios where the 007 stage has been transformed into the Temple of Ten Thousand Shadows.
