The organisers of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) have announced that this year's edition will be held December 12-19 in Trivandrum, Kerala.

The festival is also calling for entries for sections including the Competition Section, which will screen films produced and co-produced in Asia, Africa and Latin America during the period September 2007-2008.

Other sections include World Cinema, India Cinema Today, New Malayalam Cinema, Documentaries and Short Fiction (the latter two in film formats only). There will also be a country focus, retrospectives and tributes.

Organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Kerala state government, the IFFK is recognised by FIAPF.
