Abbas Kiarostami has announced that he plans to shoot afilm in Italy this summer.

'Iwill shoot one film in Iran and I will make one in Italy this summer,' theIranian director said at a conference in Rome, where he is promoting Tickets,the picture he co-directed with Ermanno Olmi and Ken Loach.

Kiarostamisuggested that he may once again team up with Domenico Procacci's Fandango, oneof the producers who backed Tickets, although he said that no contractshad yet been signed. 'I cannot give more details on this project for thetime being,' he said.

Fandangohas not confirmed that it will produce the picture.

'Iwould like to make the film in my original language, but here too we will haveto see what the best solution is,' Kiarostami said.
