Norwegian director Marius Holst’s King of Devil’s Island (Kongen af Bastøy), which took 275,170 admissions domestically for Euforia Film, won the Amanda – Norway’s national film prize - for Best Feature.

At Saturday’s awards ceremony at the Festiviteten-Haugesund Concert Hall preceding the 39th Norwegian International Film Festival, the film salso won for Best Supporting Actor (Trond Nilssen) and Best Musical Score (Johan Søderqvist).

Maria Sødahl’s Limbo cashed in on five of its ten Amanda nominations, including Line Verndal and Lena Endre’s prizes for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

Norwegian actor Bjørn Floberg, who has been in 63 feature and TV films – most recently in three installments of the Varg Veum franchise - received the committee’s 2011 Honorary Amanda at the TV2 televised event.
