Klockworx has acquired allrights in Japan to the Toronto Film Festival hit The Story Of The Weeping Camelfrom sales agent MenemshaEntertainment. In addition, New World Pictures bought rights to the film inThailand.

The picture, a docu-dramaset in the Mongolian desert, charmed Toronto audiences with its simple tale ofa camel who rejects her newborn baby and the efforts made by a nomadic familyto reunite the two. Directed as their graduation film by Munich Film Schoolstudents Byambasuuren Davaa and Luigi Falorni, the film is Mongolia's officialentry to the foreign language film Academy Award.

Menemsha closed theKlockworx deal right at the end of last year; it is the latest in a string ofdeals closed on the film since Toronto including sales to THINKFilm in NorthAmerica, ARP in France, UGC Films UK in the UK and Dendy in Australia.
