Germany's Helkon Media has announced that shares in the company belonging to the late Werner Koenig will be inherited by his mother, who is the sole beneficiary.

Koenig's mother, who requested not to be named, said in a statement that she does not plan to sell her son's estimated 16% share of the company. She also pledged to support Helkon CEO Martin Heldmann and to honour an existing agreement between Koenig and Heldmann, who founded the company together, which states that sales of Helkon shares have to be approved by the other partner. Together Koenig's mother and Heldmann own 37% of Helkon.

Helkon stock fell 25% the day after Koenig died after being caught in an avalanche near Verbier, Switzerland, whilst scouting locations for upcoming feature The Extremists.
