Ted Tannabaum, theco-chairman of Lakeshore Entertainment Group, died last Thursday at his home inChicago, leaving Lakeshore in the hands of his co-chairman, partner and friendTom Rosenberg.

Tannebaum had a backgroundin finance and built Chicago HMO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HMO America,from $7m in revenues in 1984 to $1bn in 1994. He remained chairman of the boardof HMO America until 1993 when the company merged with United HealthCareCorporation.

After setting up Lakeshorewith Rosenberg, Tannabaum was involved in all the company's productionsincluding Runaway Bride, The Mothman Prophecies, The Gift, Autumn In NewYork, Arlington Road, Passion Of Mind, The Nest Best Thing and Polish Wedding.

"He was a greatpartner and a better friend and I will miss him always," said Rosenbergin a statement. Tannabaum is survived by daughter Lizette, son Harley, and twograndsons.
