Jennifer Baichwal's ManufacturedLandscapes, a feature documentaryabout environmental landscape photographer Edward Burtynsky, won the prize forBest Canadian Documentary as the 26th Atlantic Film Festival (AFF)wrapped in Halifax this Friday. The film won the Best Canadian Feature prize atToronto earlier in the month.

Other major AFF prizewinners were Philippe Falardeau for Congorama, which won Best Canadian Feature, and CameliaFrieberg, best known as producer of several Atom Egoyan films, with her featuredebut as a director, for A Stone's Throw, which won Best Atlantic Feature.

The Best Actor prize went toPatrice Robitaille for Cheechwhile three co-stars from Deliverez-Moi shared the Best Actress prize: Genevieve Bujold, Juliette Gosselin andCeline Bonnier. Best Screenplay honurs went to Justin Simms for Punch-Up AtA Wedding; Simms also shared theBest Director prize with Nance Ackerman and Ed Buchanan, directors of thedocumentary Cottonland. For itspart, Cottonland took the BestAtlantic Documentary prize and the Cinematography Award for DoP Alain Dupras.
