Veteran executive Lawrence Steven Meyers aka Larry Meyers has joined LA-based independent production outfit Trilogy Entertainment Group as executive vice president. Meyers has been consulting for Trilogy since Sept 2000.

Working with Trilogy co-chairmen Pen Densham and John Watson, Meyers is charged with helping to grow the company, particularly the feature film arena through the development of new domestic and international co-production and financing opportunities. He will also work with the company's distribution partners on the worldwide marketing and distribution of Trilogy's feature films and will help coordinate the corporate development and strategy for the company including expansion into other areas.

On the TV side, Meyers will be working with Mark Stern, president of television, in expanding the international opportunities for co-productions and financing.

Before his consulting gig with Trilogy, Meyers was president of international distribution at Morgan Creek and president of Seagal-Nasso Distribution. Before that, he had served as president and CEO of Cinema Arts Entertainment, a company specialising in international sales and theatrical remakes, with Adrian Lyne's Unfaithful one of the projects he put together. He served as executive producer on the film which stars Richard Gere.

Earlier, he served two stints at Lorimar Pictures, lastly as senior vice president of international distribution. Between the two stints there, he built the foreign sales arm of New World Pictures in the newly created position of vice president of international distribution.
