Laurence Dawkin-Jones has been appointed UK managing director of Global Networks, an international division of NBC Universal.
He will report to Roma Khanna, president, Global Networks & Digital Initiatives, to whom he will report.
Dawkin-Jones will take up the London-based post this autumn. He had been executive director (commercial) for UKTV since 2005.
The newly created role is one of four regional MDs reporting to Khanna. The others are EMEA (Francois Roux), Asia Pacific (Raymund Miranda) and Latin America (Steve Patscheck).
Khanna said: 'I am thrilled that Laurence has joined the team as one of our key regional leaders. The UK is a highly sophisticated and complex market and Laurence's considerable experience will be an important asset to the growth of NBC Universal's channel business in this important region. I am pleased to welcome him as an excellent addition to our global team.'
