Francis Veber's The Closet (Le Placard) kicks off the fifth annual City Of Lights, City Of Angels Film Festival in Los Angeles next Tuesday (April 10), an annual showcase of six new French feature films funded by the Franco-American Cultural Fund - a collaborative effort among the Directors Guild Of America, the Motion Picture Association, Writers Guild Of America, west, and France's Society Of Authors, Composers and Editors of Music (SACEM).

Co-sponsored by the UCLA Film & Television Archive and L'ARP, the festival will also include screenings of Anne Villaceque's Petite Cherie, Robert Guediguian's The Town Is Quiet (La Ville Est Tranquille), Claude Chabrol's Nightcap (Merci Pour Le Chocolat), Michel Ocelot's Princes Et Princesses and Arnaud Desplechin's Esther Kahn.

Among the directors confirmed to attend are Veber, Desplechin, Guediguian and Villaceque with attending actors including Michele Laroque (Le Placard), Anna Mouglalis (Merci Pour Le Chocolat) and Summer Phoenix (Esther Kahn).
