UK actress Lena Headey hasbeen cast as the female lead in Sean Ellis' forthcoming spy thriller Broken.

Ellis is writing anddirecting with Lene Bausager producing. The London-based shoot starts nextweek. The plot follows a woman who leaves a coffee shop and sees herselfdriving past in a car.

Ellis, previously aphotographer, was nominated for an Academy Award for his short film Cashback, which he subsequently developed into a full-lengthfeature starring Emilia Fox and Sean Biggerstaff. The feature version of Cashback has its US premiere in the international competitionat AFI Fest this week.

Headey will also appear asQueen Gorgo in Zach Snyder's The 300 and previously starred in Imagine Me & You and The Brothers Grimm.
