London-based production company Chocolate Chilli Films hasoptioned the script The Angel of Mons as the second feature on its slate.

The project is a supernatural historical drama about a youngwoman serving as an ambulance driver during WWI who is trying to find out ifthe Angel of Monsreally exists.

Alice D Cooper wrote the script, which won the Write Timeaward from Women in Film & Television. The production company says it aimsto make films "about women, for women."

Frances Cook will produce for Chocolate Chilli and GillianHawser is attached as casting director.

Chocolate Chilli plans to shoot the film in Europeduring 2007 as a British qualifying production. The company hopes for a 2008release, timed to the 90th anniversary of WWI.
