Former Warner Bros International executive Luca Bentivoglio has taken on the post of executive director at non-profit organisation Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB).

In 1996, Bentivoglio launched the new Warner Bros. channel in Latin America and directed the programming, marketing and distribution efforts that propelled WB to become the leading family channel in Latin America and Brazil.

"Luca brings to the position his expertise and knowledge of twenty years in television programming and his commitment to promote Latino-themed projects to an audience of 40 million in the United States, " said LPB Chairman Edward James Olmos. Bentivoglio plans to spearhead international distribution strategies for the Latino independent product funded by LPB.

LPB supports the development, production, acquisition and distribution of cultural and educational television. It holds an annual competition whereby five to six projects are chosen from hundreds of submissions.
