Two Days In Paris producer Christophe Mazodier and 13 Tzameti producer Olivier Oursel are teaming for an ambitious thriller from first-time director Antoine Blossier.

The $9.2m (Euros 6m) project Prey is currently in pre-production. Mazodier describes it to Screen as ' Jaws meets Deliverance in the forest.'

A family on the verge of imploding is led into a dark forest where mysterious creatures are out of control. Starring Berencie Bejo, Philippe Nahon and Aurelien Recoing, the horror film is not about gratuitous violence says Mazodier but is expected to provide lots of chills.

Rezo Films is handling international sales and will distribute in France. The film shoots France and Belgium beginning in October

The film's pedigree technical team includes cinematography by Benoit Debie who has shot such hits as Fabrice de Welz's Calvaire and Gaspar Noe's Irreversible ; Nicolas Bonnell, whose credits include Wong Kar Wai's 2046 , Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins , Oliver Stone's Alexander and two of the Matrix films, is heading up the effects; creature design will be handled by Pascal Molina (The Bourne Identity , Two Brothers) and Olivier Raoux who recently won a Cesar for Olivier Dahan's La Vie En Rose will provide set design.
