UK outfit Metrodome Distribution is promoting the release of documentary Three Miles North Of Molkom with a special satellite screening and night of comedy on September 16.
The film will be shown via a live link in up to 50 cinemas two days ahead of its theatrical release, and a live performance by British comedian Russell Howard will also be shown. The event has been co-funded by Metrodome and the UK Film Council, and will be held at Cineworld Haymarket in London.
Written, produced and directed by Robert Cannan and Corinna Villari-McFarlane for Third Eye Film Productions, Three Miles North Of Molkom follows a collection of characters attending a new age Swedish festival. It was nominated for a BIFA award.
Sara Frain, general manager – distribution for Metrodome, said: “The face of film distribution is changing and the new digital technology allows us to try fun and innovative ways of releasing our films. Molkom is a very funny film and lends itself perfectly to a stand up event with a comedian.”
