Mexico has selected Mexican-Spanish co production Aro Tolbukhin: In The Mind Of A Killer to vie for the best foreign language Oscar.

Directed by Agustin Villaronga, Lydia Zimmerman and Isaac Pierre Racine, the docu fiction drama is based on a true story of a Hungarian in Guatemala who killed seven nurses.

Meanwhile, Bolivia has chosen local blockbuster Sexual Dependency, the directorial debut of 25 year old Rodrigo Bellott. The story follows five couples in their search for true intimacy.

The closing date for the foreign language Oscar category is Oct 1.
