The Miami International FilmFestival (MIFF) has launched an industry delegation to Chile this week to shareknowledge, build contacts and increase exposure to media and industryprofessionals in the local film community.

The initiative is the secondpart of a film exchange programme launched during the 2006 festival in Marchwhen the work of six emerging Chilean film-makers were screened to US audiencesand festival attendees.

The Santiago leg of the MIFFAbroad: Inside Chile programme begins today and is composed of a series ofdiscussions, presentations and seminars. Those attending in the MIFF delegationare: Nicole Guillemet, director of MIFF, Henry Sheehan, the film critic andpresident of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, Steven Raphael of NewYork-based Required Viewing, marketing expert Paula Silver of Beyond The Box, andentertainment lawyer Fernando Ramirez and Neyda Martinez, marketing manager andpublicist for POV/The American Documentary.

MIFF Abroad was developed inpartnership with producer Cristina Littin, president of MC Films, with theChilean Ministry Of Exterior Affairs and American Airlines.
