Michael Moore will receive the 2007 International Documentary Association's (IDA) Career Achievement Award in Los Angeles on Dec 7.

'Michael Moore still has many more extraordinary films ahead of him,'IDA president Diane Estelle Vicari said.

'Our members are thankful for his fearless commitment to tell
compelling stories. He is a role model for young documentary film-makers everywhere in the world.'

Moore has produced, written and directed 15 documentaries for cinemaand TV, including most recently Sicko, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Bowling
For Columbine.

He won the 2003 best documentary Oscar for Bowling For Columbine, and the 2004 Palme d'Or for Fahrenheit 9/11.
