Mike Leigh's latestfilm has been titled All Or Nothing.The story of a London couple - he a taxi driver, she a supermarketcheckout girl - whose life is thrown into turmoil when an unexpectedtragedy occurs, the film features Leigh regulars including Timothy Spall(Secrets And Lies, Topsy-Turvy, Life Is Sweet), Lesley Manville (Grown-Ups,High Hopes Topsy-Turvy), MarionBailey (Meantime), Ruth Sheen (HighHopes) and Sam Kelly (Topsy-Turvy), alongside Alison Garland, James Corden, PaulJesson and Kathryn Hunter.
Financed by Studio Canal, itis produced by Simon Channing Williams and Alain Sarde and will be released inNorth America by United Artists in autumn 2002.
It is not yet known wherethe film will premiere. Leigh won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes FilmFestival in 1996 for Secrets And Lies and won the director prize in 1993 for Naked. However, Topsy-Turvy was first unveiled at Venice in 1999.
