French broadcaster M6 has signed a two-year output deal with US-based TV drama producer Hallmark Entertainment.

The deal gives M6 exclusive free TV rights to Hallmark's television movies and mini-series, starting immediately. M6 will also co-finance a number of mini-series with Hallmark each year for the duration of the deal.

This is the fourth deal signed by Hallmark at this year's MIP-TV. The drama specialist, which extended its output agreement with Germany's RTL Television earlier this week, has also signed separate deals with Spanish distributor Sivsa Entertainment and Spanish broadcaster Telecinco.

Under the extended deal with Telecino, the Spanish broadcaster will have exclusive free TV rights for Spain to Hallmark's mini-series, and will co-finance a number of them. Sivsa will hold exclusive rights to Hallmark's TV movies.
